Labrinth + Kano (w/ Full Live Band) – Earthquake (Co-Sign Edition)
Fresh after his single reached Number 2 on the official charts, Labrinth records an explosive remix of Earthquake for Soulculture’s Co-Sign show. Armed with his guitar, extraordinary live band and none other than the finest rapper from the UK Kano, Labrinth tears up his own song which for me, has replaced the original. A work of genius.
DJ Premier + Nas + The Berklee Symphony Orchestra – Regeneration
Presented for RE:GENERATION, a documentary film that follows leading producers including Pretty Lights, The Crystal Method, Mark Ronson, and Skrillex who have been propositioned to recreate and re-imagine five traditional styles of music. First up is DJ Premier featuring Nas who have hit the project with one of the biggest bangs, an unbelievable fusion which creates something that can only be described as anthemic.
Kelly Rowland – Down For Whatever (True Tiger Remix)
Set for release at the end of this month, True Tiger unleash a bass-dropping remix for Ms Rowland’s dance floor filler, Down For Whatever. With the original being produced by RedOne, the True Tiger team have taken the vocals one step further by creating another awesome dubstep remix anthem for Kelly.
Sway – Still Speedin’ (Official Video)
Taken from his forthcoming album The Deliverance, Sway releases his first track off the CD and my word, is it one hell of a banger. Excellently sampling the great 1989 classic Ride on Time by Black Box, the track Still Speedin’ has still more to offer as remixes with an unknown major US artist are planned as well as the popular remix with UK rapper Kano set to surface soon. Hope the track and Sway get the playlisting they deserve as he’s undoubtedly one of the best, both flow and lyrical content, rappers that reside in the UK.
BTW can you spot the disappearing act at 1:00 mins?
Enkay + Master Saleem – Sajana (Official Video)
From an out-and-out dance floor banger in Sadi Akh that featured the late Kaka Bhainiawala to a soulful ballad, Enkay has once again entrusted lyricist Tari Banwalipuria to pen Sajana for Master Saleem to perform his vocal magic upon!
From the outset, Saleem’s distinctive voice resonates passion and the production from Enkay is likewise smooth. The female harmonies, which provide a refreshing backdrop along with the chords, complement each other to achieve a classy outcome. Sajana is available to purchase via iTunes now!

Jeeti + Lehmber Hussainpuri – Jatt Pagal Karte (Taken from Folk Attack 2)
Released on Serious Records & Ent. Limited, Lehmber Hussainpuri teams up with some of the most established producers from our UK shores which include the likes of Sukhi Chand, Kam Frantic and Jeeti to create another CD to add to his ever-expanding discography. What seems to be the follow up to the controversial release Folk Attack (aka Dr Zeus’ The Original Edit ), Lehmber and Serious Records have gone all out to look for a formula which would hopefully project Mr Hussainpuri back into the spotlight. Question is, is this the release to do it for him?
Evidently I’ve gone for the lead single off the album to showcase what Lehmber (and Jeeti) are capable of, but the only problem is that I want to showcase more. Bar Jeeti’s production, it seems to be a case of heard it all before further cementing the lack of reception for this album. Again, I could be jumping the gun a little early but we only like to say it from how it sounds. On a positive, Jatt Pagal Karte is a cracking piece of work with some punchy percussion to set any dancefloor alight, another banger from hit-maker Jeeti.

D-Sarb + D-Boy – Panchi Vangu (Official Video)
The precocious talent of recently turned 18-year-old D-Sarb is under the spotlight once again as he prepares to release the 2nd EP instalment to Music ‘N’ Me on October 27th via iTunes! As you may recall, Volume 1 which shot straight to No. 1 in the iTunes World Music charts, gave us the simply mesmeric Sahan. Now, Panchi Vangu further showcases the teen sensation’s remarkable vocal capacity as he delivers what he describes:
“[Panchi] is a song about departure. Based around the metaphor of a bird flying away from someone that gave so much love and passion into a relationship.
The cinematic video centres on a disconsolate D-Sarb in the aftermath of betrayal and features a number of familiar faces from the music scene as well as a nice-touch with the subtitles. For many, Sahan is right up there amongst the best tracks of the year, however, D-Sarb and versatile producer D-Boy look to have raised the lofty bar with this gem… Time will only tell how far this exceptional artist may fly!

The Roots Feat Big K.R.I.T. – Make My
“They told me that the ends won’t justify the means and he told me at the end, it won’t justify the dreams that I’ve had since a child.
Let it be known that there was once a time when Hip-Hop was heralded for its storytelling. Well, The Roots are set to return with a new conceptual album entitled undun that does just that albeit with a ‘quirk’! The lead single, Make My, which hits iTunes November 1st begins the process of deconstructing the life of a character named Redford Stephens.
We won’t get too bogged down with the concept itself but suffice it to say the narrative is in reverse – Stephens attempts to piece his former life together and find out what led to him being undun. Pretty trippy, right?
Joined by fellow label-mate Big K.R.I.T, The Roots’ Black Thought drops verses about the woes of society. They’ve come up with yet another mellow, minimalistic number with a live feel to it with its snare drum. Also, check out those deep bass chords and synth flute pieces… Lush!
g-ta + Beatboxer Ekko – Collision Course
FIRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRE! The only word that comes to me when I heard this track after it first dropped. Further confirming that g-ta is one of the finest dubstep producers/remixers in our industry. With Beatboxer Ekko providing some lethal beats via his vocal chords, this one’s going to stay on repeat for a long time!
Dalvinder Singh – Ishq (Official Video)
Released via the label Sweet Peach Music, the Midlands duo of Dalvinder Singh and Tarli Digital combine once more to bring their newest offering Ishq. Rolling with a mellow, smooth and relaxing vibe, the track stands up to repeated playings. Lyrics are provided here from the late great Dev Raj Jassal which have been placed upon production which is creative and original, a rare site in today’s Panjabi scene. Also another rare thing to see is a fresh and creative video, loving the direction a lot. Grab your copy from iTunes now!
