Before the dust is allowed to settle from the thunder-track Dhann Kaur (Haneri EP) which sent tremors through the musical stratosphere, Ravi Bal sweeps through swiftly with the smoothest ballad collaborating the vocals of his musical protégé, Bhinda Aujla.
From the get-go, the beautiful and melodious sarangi set’s the premise for the anchor track, Ishq, which is taken from the forthcoming 8 track album The Producers. Whilst this is the first time we’ve heard Aujla sing on a slower BPM, Ravi Bal perfectly creates the bedding with another Midas Touch composition that combines enticing piano pieces, smooth harmonies and alluring percussion completing another Bal Cinematic-esque production.
Filmed in Rajasthan, Sandeep Sharma creates a picturesque visual which compliments the ballad perfectly with scenes that are striking, vivid and rich. With the album set to release in the next few hours, stay locked onto the blog to read our full review of The Producers which will be posted imminently.

Falling off one of the most exceptional albums of 2012 Headliner 2, Teri Jugni is the one of the pinnacle tracks off of the CD. With Babu Singh Maan penning hard hitting, effective lyrics and Ravi Bal providing the catalyst with deep and almost hypnotising electric production, Surjit Khan delivers what we described in our review of the album as vocal fireworks. Explosive, rampant and eruptive.
Tasked with providing the visuals was the popular Sandeep Sharma who delivered some really eye-opening and picturesque frames but were overshadowed by some moments of over-production accompanied with a few ‘cheesy moment’s which seems to be concurrent within his work. That aside, the story within the video is visually descriptive and depicts the nature of the song pretty well.

It would be remiss of us not to showcase this visual even if it was released a couple of days ago. Since the Naina De Buhe album fell into our hands in October, we have remained in awe of the work featured right throughout the disc. Churi is a track which describes a particular lady’s strife with her counteractions with love and subsequently her pain after not being successful in who she wants to spend the rest of her life with. Directed excellently by Sandeep Sharma, the video is shot with bright and vivid colours and perfectly portrays the story of the modern day Heer and Ranjha.
We’re unsure why the percussion differs from the audio in the video and the one that features on the CD, perhaps it was intentional do give the track a different feel. Personally, I think it should have remained the same as the audio CD as we were massive fans of the live drum elements.
